Holiday Blues

Yeah so life atm is pretty damn sucky, i mean sure, im living in a house, i have food, i’m not being molested – life is good enough. But it’s just hitting one of them downtimes. It happens, even to the cheeriest of us… Oh and by “cheeriest”, i DIDN’T mean me.
So yeah, my bad luck streak seems to continue… no temp work available ANYWHERE!! wtf!? i’ve applied for a million jobs, and i mean… i used to be handed temp jobs without hesitation, but these days there’s nothing! i’ve even checked in with multiple agencies and i’ve still got nothin. Uni’s comin in soon and i’ll have to find another part time job too. I should be able to score one of those.. SURELY…
So i’m really over these holidays, i wanna get back into the swing of things, i want to learn again, hang out with my buddies – i even miss the train into the city to go to uni! The unemployed lifestyle at home was fun for the first two weeks.. but yeah, i need to get outta this – and FAST! I find myself yearning for some sort of interaction with people, even people at home! (ie. family). I’m not even big on the whole family thing, but i mean i’d even chill with them if i could, but i can’t because they’ve all got stuff to do – work, school etc. What about my friends? Yeah sure! That’s a great idea, but i need money to go out with them – but i DO take chance of any free hang outs wherever possible – like my awesome night last Saturday! Here’s the details!
My aunty had organised a night out at a club called the Chalk Hotel just outside the city, and EVERYONE was invited. So i brought Amy along, Mitch, Tim, my schoolmate Paul, my older brother, Tim’s friend etc. And to top it off, my brother Richard booked a hotel room at the Rydges Hotel at Southbank. So Amy, Paul and I made our way to Southbank where we met Mitch, Richard and Richard’s friend Sam. Had some food before heading into the hotel. We hung out there, got extremely drunk, Tim and his friend showed up, then we hit the streets en route to the Chalk Hotel. I can’t remember how i got there, i don’t even know what it looks like, i was too drunk, but i remember inside – and OMG was it awesome. Just amazing…

The ambience was excellent, there was live music and dance music, huge bars with amazing service and just so much space! It was short lived however because Amy, being new to the whole drinking scene, wasn’t doing too well – she had too much. So i walked her back to the hotel (i didn’t tell her that i couldn’t remember where to go.. but we made it, that’s all that matters). We composed ourselves through the reception and made it to the hotel room. So i just took care of her for a bit, before Mitch showed up… right before he passed out on the hotel floor. lol First asleep – i should’ve shaved his eyebrows. So i took Amy back downstairs and got her a Taxi so she could head back to her sisters house. I then thought i’d head back to the Chalk, but on the way I ran into Tim, Richard and Paul on their way back – drunk as anything! lol So we went back to the hotel, drank some more and chilled out on the balcony before falling asleep. What a great night!
The next day was very groggy, i felt pretty ok tho. Everyone eventually branched off and went home, I met back up with Amy and she came over to my house and we hung out for a bit…
I really needed that night, it lifted my spirits a lot, i’m still pretty down at the moment but it doesn’t matter, because i realise that this is just a phase, and it’ll pass. That’s just how life goes… A series of events and emotions that begin and end – but only if you let them. And i don’t wanna hold onto these holiday blues any longer than I have to.
Ciao for now!

I should win some award for being first asleep.. but I was too drunk to care.
I know what you mean by holiday blues and you just need to motivate yourself with whatever you can find. *cough*web design*cough*
So yeah, ANYTHING you can find.. *hint hint*.
